The Maplewood
Police Department has established the following Bureaus
dedicated to providing specialized, professional services to the
community:

The Maplewood Police
Department's Detective Bureau is headed by Lt. James Wavra and staffed by well-trained and highly
motivated Detectives. Members of the Detective Bureau routinely
investigate a variety of crimes, ranging from check fraud
to bank robbery. Detectives also provide a variety of non-criminal
services to the community.

YOUTH
AID BUREAU 973/ 762-3400 Ext. 7914
The Maplewood
Police Department's Youth Aid Bureau is headed by Lt. James Wavra
and supervised by Sgt. Jimmy DeVaul. The Youth Aid Bureau is
responsible for investigating all juvenile incidents occurring
within Maplewood. In addition, Sgt. DeVaul of the Youth Aid
Bureau oversees the D.A.R.E., G.R.E.A.T., and School Resource
Officer Programs.

The Records
Bureau is staffed by civilian employees and supervised by Detective
John Plesnik. The Records Bureau is responsible for the
classification and maintenance of all police reports and records.
The Record Bureau is open for business during the following
hours:
MONDAY:
10am-8pm (closed 4pm-5pm)
TUESDAY thru
FRIDAY: 8am-4pm
